Recently the calendar of the Government stock published the Treasure for 2009. The need for financing as well as the strong demand that apparently is existing of products that grant certain safety in this moment of world financial and economic crisis, it has done that this strategy is very aggressive and that there has been foreseen a flotation of public debt that will reach a clear value for 86.500 million euros, 68,5 % more than in 2008.
The biggest bet will be done in the Short-term debt across the Treasury bills. Every month Letters a will be auctioned 3, 6 and 12 months. In case of the above mentioned, also, and to assure his liquidity, they will be to the value of approximately 5.000 million euros each one.
It is necessary to bear in mind, also, that now the Treasury bills auctions will be done every Tuesday instead of every Wednesday. Those of period of 3 and 6 months are realized in the second Tuesday of every month, while those of 12 months will be done in the third Tuesday.
For his part, and as for the Bonds and State bonds, there is going to increase the liquidity of each of them. The Bonds auctions, to 3 and 5 years, will be realized on the first Thursday of every month, while the Obligations, to 10, 15 and 30 years, will be auctioned during the third Thursday of every month.
