Today we begin the week with another ránking: that of the worst funds of Spanish variable revenue in 2008, doubtful honor that no agent would like to have with complete certainty, especially for the damage that it causes to the image of the entity that manages them.
It still turns out to be more curious to see that in the first positions, the three strongest entities of the Spanish Banking are in these first positions, so that, for example, BBVA heads the classification with his fund BBVA Stock Exchange Ibex Quant, which had negative profitability in the year 2008 of 59,58 %. In the second square of the ránking The Caixa is with his fund FonCaixa Bolsa Spain 150 and a fall of 54,82 %, and in third position, the Santander with his fund Santander Agressive Spain, which fell down 52,75 %.
The worst thing is that Santander also has in the 6th square other of his funds, Small Caps Spain, and The Caixa has in the 8th one another, FonCaixa Privada Stock Exchange. To complete the group of bad negotiations, Barclays marks a record, since only it has two funds based on the Spanish Stock Exchange, and the two are between the 10 worst funds of the year.
Santander for his part, that is the biggest funds agent in Spain, has 6 of 13 funds that it manages, with losses superior to 40 %, while BBVA has 2 of 7.
Apparently awful numbers that, certainly, are more a product of the economic situation that of committed errors, but that do not stop showing probably the excessive aggressiveness of any agents in the delicate years, and little prudence and bad forecasts.
