The price of our rent sees every year updated by the IPC, so that the same one reflects the annual increase of the average cost of life. This update of the cost of the rent of housings and real estate will be according to the increase of the annual IPC.
The formula to calculate the new quota of rent that we will have left to pay is simple, since it is necessary only to apply the following terms:
Quota of the updated rent: Quota of the current rent x (1 + IPC)
Namely supposing a rent for 600 euros, and an IPC of 4 %, the new quota that would go out, to pay, would be of:
New quota = 600 x (1 + 0,04) = 624 €
This quota must be updated on having fulfilled every year of contract, which logically, there does not have why to coincide with the calendar year, in accordance with the stipulated in the Law of Leases.
Also you can come to the utility that the National Institute of Statistics has on his web page. There you have the necessary information and the program to calculate the updated revenue.
